Sarah: I like the idea of not having a lot of ornaments but they all mean something. We can look at the tree and see where we've been.

My mom has always bought Christmas ornaments wherever she travels. Their tree tells a story. It's super cool.
Sorry about your granddad, Arnie. I've been following you since A Year After the Breakup. Our lives, in terms of timing of marriage, grandparents dying, etc., have been oddly similar. It's probably a mid thirties urban dweller thing, but it's why I haven't stopped reading.
