carol by misterarnie
The Whirled News Christmas brunch.

For some reason I got it into my head that we should sing a Christmas carol or two. So I talked Adal and Young into busting out with Jingle Bells with me, then walking towards the rest of the party and more-or-less getting them to join in. After that we did a more-shaky-on-the-exact-lyrics rendition of Silver Bells.

It was only later that I realized I probably felt compelled to start a round of Christmas caroling (for maybe the first time in my life) because my Grandpa Paul had always made us sing carols before we opened presents. He was always the most Christmas-loving adult I knew. And now I’m becoming more Christmasy to pick up the slack. He’s my Christmas spirit.
