Some big “carnivale” was scheduled for both the French and Dutch sides of the island today. We were given several warnings that traffic might be terrible because the celebration was going to be so big. We waited for an hour by the side of the road, waiting for the parade to come around the corner, but eventually had to head back to the ship before seeing anything.
