A quick afternoon in New York again. Just time enough for us to eat sandwiches on a stoop in Soho with an old friend, Jordan, who lives here now.
Sarah: How do you like it?
Jordan: Well, we live in Brooklyn, but we like it. We have a nice little place, it overlooks a great backyard. It’s not our backyard, but we like to look at it, wish it were ours. Our neighbors seem to enjoy it. It has a fire pit. Great for parties.
Me: Do they invite you over?
Jordan: Oh, we’ve never met them. But they have what we want. They're living our dream.
Me: Do you invite friends over to watch their parties?
Jordan: Mm-hmm. Yes.
It was nice to see him briefly before he had to “go run a corporate improv workshop at Ground Zero.”
